How the Studio Began
Smart Fit Tailoring & Design was founded in 2009 to give Melbourne clients access to genuinely skilled, patient alterations and dressmaking rather than rushed, off-the-rack fixes. The studio filled a gap for clients who needed real tailoring expertise, not just quick hemming, delivered with attention to fit and finish. As word spread, the studio's service area grew to serve clients across Melbourne CBD and beyond, from everyday alterations to bespoke and bridal work.
Real Experience, Real Credentials
naning Forsyth brings over 30 years of hands-on industry experience, holds a Certificate IV in Apparel, Textiles and Design, and was recognised with the Australian Masters of Fashion Award in 2007 for her work in bridal and bespoke garment construction.
